Poverty and financial stress can impede children’s cognitive development and their ability to learn. It can contribute to behavioral, social and emotional problems and poor health.

Three weeks of hard skills training
In this intensive course, participants learn the skills for entry level positions in the health-care field. The training includes classroom work and practical exercises in a simulated medical setting. All graduates must receive CNA State certification to enter employment. Our CNA graduates work in home health care, hospitals, care homes and other facilities.

CNAs are in a unique position to offer care and compassion to people who need more than technical assistance. Research shows that caring personnel play a major role in the patient’s comfort and/or eventual recovery.
